Time for Action Include a Video on Your Course Front Page

The method for including a video on your course front page is exactly the same as the method for including documents and handouts that we worked through in Chapter 3. Let's just run through the procedure again to remind ourselves:

  1. Upload the video to your course files area (see Uploading Files in Chapter 3 for more details).

  2. Select a topic and click on Add a resource... and choose Link to file or website to display the Editing Resource page.

  3. Press Browse and navigate to the video file in your course files area. Once you've found the file, or selected the file you want, click on Choose from the Action column.

  4. Ensure that you choose New window as your Target and press the OK button.

  5. A link to your video should now appear in your course Main page:

You can tell that my Moodle recognizes this file as a video because of the camera icon, to the left of the resource name. Don't forget to test your work. Click on the link and follow the instructions...
