Time for Action Embed a Video into a Moodle Web Page


  1. Create a new web page resource and give it a name. I'm going to call mine Instructions For Making Hydrogen (Opens in new Window). The "Opens in new Window" part of the name is not only to show that the new page does indeed open in a new window (which, as you have seen, I always specify anyway), but it makes it easier for students to print out the page if they need to.

  2. I've started to add some text and an image to my instructions, and I am now at the point where I would like to include a video:

3. Let's create a link to the video file that we have uploaded. Next, I'm going to type in a new line "Click here to watch video" and then select that text.

4. Click on the Insert Web Link button to display the Insert Link dialog.

5. Click on the Browse button. The Insert Link File Browser is displayed. Basically, this is another dialog (with a slightly altered layout) displaying the contents of the course files area:
