Time for Action Back Up Your Course


You'll find many, many options you can choose as we run through the backup procedure. At this stage, it's best just to stick with the defaults and back up everything.

Once you've selected Backup from the Administration block, you are taken to your Course Backup page. Simply leave the defaults as they are (everything is selected), scroll down to the bottom of the page and press Continue.

The next page allows you to choose a name for your backup file. Moodle automatically creates a name for you, based on the time, date, and the course Short Name. You can leave it as it is, if you want to. Again, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Continue.

Moodle will now have created the course backup for you (scroll down to the bottom of the page and check you have the message Backup completed successfully). If all is well, press the Continue button at the bottom of the page. Moodle now takes you to your course files area, and to the folder in which it has...
