Time for action – user DB integration with WordPress MU


  1. Download and install the following WordPress plugins—the bbPress Integration plugin (available at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress-integration/) and WPMU Enable bbPress Capabilities (available at http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/wpmu-enable-bbpress-capabilities/).

  2. Log in to the bbPress admin panel and go to Settings | WordPress Integration.

  3. Open your wp-config.php file and paste the following lines of code into it, replacing the domain name with your own:

    define('COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.slayercafe.com');
    define('COOKIEPATH', '/');
    
  4. Go to Settings | WordPress Integration in the bbPress admin panel and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Look for the $bb->authcookie entry. Remove the wordpress_ prefix from the value and add the following code to your wp-config file, inserting the cookie value in the relevant place:

    define('COOKIEHASH', 'cookie_value_goes_here' );
    
  5. Try logging in to the main blog and then navigating to the forums...
