Coupons and discounts


One of the simplest and most effective ways to attract a customer's attention is to offer coupon codes for discounts on your products. Likely, we have all seen these in action before at our favorite online retailers. The basic premise is that the customer can enter a valid code during the checkout process to get a discount on a single item or on the entire order. The code that you create could be valid for only one use or for a set period of time.

To create a coupon for customer usage, first log into your WordPress Dashboard and browse to the Marketing link under the Products menu, as shown in the following screenshot:

Next, click the Add Coupon link, as shown in the following screenshot:

Let's say that we want to create a coupon that grants a 10% discount for the entire order during the month of August. We'll call the coupon AUGUST10.
