Connecting a Snom 360 phone


Connecting a Snom 360 phone to the 3CX Phone System is fairly straightforward. You log into a web interface and configure it much like many popular routers. Unlike the 3CX softphone, you have the ability to auto provision the Snom 360 phone as well as quite a few other popular phone handsets. Auto provisioning allows you to push a configuration to the phone instead of logging into each phone that you connect to your phone system. Auto provisioning will speed up things if you have several phone handsets.

To set up auto provisioning, we will go back to the 3CX Edit Extension settings page for extension 102 and click on the Phone Provisioning tab, as shown in the next screenshot. The two most important settings we need to provide for provisioning are the MAC Address and Model of the phone. The MAC Address of the Snom phone can be acquired by looking at the white label on the bottom of the phone or by pressing the Help button on the phone. The phone model can be selected...
