Time for action — enabling e-mail comment notification in Roller


In the following exercise, you'll see how to enable or disable Roller's comment notification via e-mail. To do that, there's a global setting that affects the entire blog server, and a specific setting for each weblog in Roller:

  1. Log into Roller and click on the Main Menu link on Roller's menu bar:

  2. On the Main Menu page, click on the Server administration link, on the lower-right part of the screen:

Scroll down the Roller Configuration page until you locate the Comment and Trackback Settings section, and select the Email notification of comments?, Enable verification of trackback links?, and Enable referrer linkback extraction? checkboxes to enable them, as shown in the following screenshot:

  4. Scroll down to the end of the page and click on the Save button to apply the changes you made to the Comment and Trackback Settings section. Click on the Main Menu link again, and then click on your weblog's Settings link:
