Time for action—changing icons one at a time


  1. 1. Delete the pix folder that you copied in the last exercise.

  2. 2. Go to your desktop and find the backup of the blackandblue folder that you created in the Changing the icons section of this chapter. Copy the pix folder, and paste it back to the blackandblue folder that you are working with (\themes\blackandblue).

  3. 3. Find a good icon from either the Internet or another Moodle icon set.

  4. 4. Right-click on the icon that you want to replace in your blackandblue theme. For this task, choose one of the closed folder icons next to the links in the administration menu and select Properties.

  5. 5. To the right of the location line, you will see the icon's path and name. Remember this or write it down.

  6. 6. Locate the icon that you want to use and rename it to the same name as in the properties dialog box, and copy it to the same directory in your blackandblue theme's pix directory. In this case, it would be to your pix\ directory. Say Yes when prompted to overwrite...
