What about "Course files"?


Regular users of Moodle 1.9 such as course tutors are used to the familiar "course files" structure as found via the link in the course administration block. It reminds them of the view they have on their own computers or network. This New Way of uploading might well cause some confusion for people. At the time of writing, the developers and Moodle community are discussing ways to ease this transition. Users in Moodle 2.0 have a Private files section which can be configured to have a folder structure that might also serve as a reassuring storage area. The Moodle admin can also enable a Course files repository in Site administration | plugins | repositories | manage repositories. A teacher may add files to the Course files link at the bottom of their course administration settings as before and find them in the file picker. The steps to do this are as follows:

  1. Andy clicks the Course files link.

  2. He clicks Edit course files.

  3. He may then click Add... to be taken...
