Teachers comment in private (1)


By using the assign roles feature in a block, it's possible for Andy to enable any other teachers on his course to comment in private on aspects of the course.

What admin needs to do

For this to happen, the Moodle administrator needs to have given teachers the ability to override permissions in Site Administration | Users | Permissions |

From the Allow role overrides tab, the admin should enable the box enabling a Teacher (on the left) to override the roles of Student and Authenticated user as shown in the following screenshot(a Teacher can already override the role of Guest):

This has risks attached—Teachers might grant or revoke the rights of others with undesired consequences.
