A number of modules can assist users to navigate around a Moodle site.

Navigating within a course

Moodle has a very simple navigation model. Links for a course are gathered on one page: the course main page. This means that resources and activities are usually only one link away. However, this shallow navigation model also has a downside—long course pages—which can lead to lots of annoying scrolling. Offering students a way to see the structure of a page, and directing them straight to parts of the page, can alleviate some of the finger strain needed for long pages. There are a number of blocks that attempt to simplify navigation within a course page:
