These two formats allow topics or weeks to be collapsed to minimize space used. The topic/week sections can then be expanded dynamically.

Getting ready

Unzip both directories to the /moodle/course/format/ directory. You do not need to visit the Notifications page for course formats. You can use them right away.

How to do it...

Go to the Settings page for a course. Select either of the formats from the Format menu. The Collapsed Topics format appears with all topics initially collapsed.

The Collapsed Weeks format shows the current calendar week at first.

With either format, the bar at the top of each topic/week can be clicked to open and close that section. The state of expanded...
