In your Joomla! site you may wish to display more than one template to certain portions of your site. It's very simple to set up your site to display in this manner.
One reason you may wish to do this is if you have a different "look" you would want for your registered users, as opposed to the public users. This might be the case with the social community extension JomSocial (see Jomsocial.com). You might, in this case, use a template that has a style that may lend itself to encourages membership for your site.
Once the client or member joins, and they log in to your site, they could see a different "look" all together. This is easily accomplished by template assignments.
Note
We will demonstrate this using the default rhuk_milkyway template that comes with Joomla! and the JoomlaBamboo.com JB_ELEVATE2 template.
In this recipe we will assign different templates to various portions of our site. This particular recipe will have a few examples in it.
