The all-new tabbed Menu Manager screen


In Joomla! 1.6, the Menu Manager has been improved in many ways. Just as in many other parts of the Joomla! backend, there are new buttons and shortcuts, helping you to perform routine tasks both easier and faster. Let's have a look right now.

Exploring the new Menu Manager

  1. 1. Go to Menus | Menu Manager to open the Menu Manager. Choose the Menus tab to open its screen, as shown below:

  2. 2. You'll notice that the Menu Manager screen has been completely redesigned. Near the top of the screen is the tab bar that is common to the new backend interface. The Menu Manager screen contains a Menus tab and a Menu Items tab. The default page, Menus, shows an overview of all menus on the site.
