The first step is to enable completion tracking on your site.
Log in to your Moodle site as the admin.
Go to the Site Administration menu located in the Settings block.
You will see a search box at the bottom of the Site Administration menu. Type "completion" and click on the Search button. The following screenshot shows the first three search results that will be displayed, which are the three we need to configure:
Under Advanced features, select the checkbox next to Enable completion tracking.
Under the Course default settings, for the Completion tracking setting select Enabled, control via completion and activity settings from the drop-down menu.
The next setting, Completion tracking begins on enrolment, allows you to start completion tracking when the user is first enrolled in the course.
