Time for action – adding a workshop


  1. Ensure you have editing turned on and, in the relevant section of your course, click on the Add an activity... drop-down menu and select Workshop from the list.

  2. Give the activity a name and, if required, provide an introduction:

  3. In the Workshop settings box, you can enable the relevant peer review features. I want my students to peer review each other's work so I'm only going to check the Students may assess the work of others option:

  4. I now need to configure the submission and assessment options. This is where I specify the instructions I give both when students are uploading work for review and for then they are doing the reviewing:

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the Save and display button. The Project Plan Review (for that's what I called it) workshop planner is displayed:

What just happened?

We've just configured a Moodle workshop for peer review. There were quite a few settings I ignored but they are all self-explanatory, for example...
