Sakai's site structure


As explained earlier in this book, once you've logged in to Sakai, the top of the screen consists of a Sakai banner that contains your organization's branding and a logout button. Just below that banner is a series of tabs, one for each Sakai site that you are a member of. Every course or project consists of a Sakai site and is accessed by clicking on a tab labeled with the name of the site. If you are a member of more than one site, you have more than one tab across the top of your screen.

If you have too many sites to fit, a More Sites menu (often renamed My Sites or My Active Sites) is displayed; it enables you to access the appropriate site. Always be sure you're at the correct site when you're doing your work.

My Workspace

There is also a tab called My Workspace, a special site that only you have access to. You use it to manage your preferences, store personal files, manage site memberships, and even provide a calendar that pulls information from all the Sakai sites...
