Moodle's reporting facilities


A report presents the content of the Moodle log in some sort of uniform format. Different reports make use of the same log. The sitewide logs can be accessed via Reports | Logs. At the top of the page, you have the ability to drill down to the data via filters:

The following seven filters are available:

Field

Description

Courses

Select a specific course or the entire Moodle site.

Groups

Select a specific group or All groups only displayed if group mode is enabled in the selected (filtered) course.

Participants

Select a specific user or All participants.

Date

Specify a particular day or all days of activity. Unfortunately, it is not possible to specify date ranges.

Activities

Select whether to run a report of All activities or Site errors.

Actions

You can choose from All actions, View, Add, Update, Delete, and All changes options.

Display

Specify how to display the report on a page (in your web browser); in an Excel spreadsheet, in ODS format,...
