Summary

In this chapter, you have learned how to configure relevant system settings that are not dealt with in a dedicated chapter. We covered pedagogical configuration, dealing with collaboration, localization, grades and gradebook, and a number of miscellaneous settings. We then moved on to the more technical configuration, which mainly focused on synchronous and asynchronous communication as well as some experimental settings.

The abundance of features available via the Site administration section can initially be overwhelming, but you will get to terms with them relatively quickly. Also, expect this number to increase with every new version of Moodle.

This concludes Part II of the book that dealt with Moodle configuration and we are now ready to move on to all aspects of Moodle maintenance.
