Managing Flags


Flags are indicators that can be associated with versions to provide an indication of what is contained inside the version. For example, a flag of "Current" could be associated with the latest version, to indicate to downstream application(s) which is the latest version, in a consistent manner.

Carry out the following to create a new flag and associate it with our latest version:

  1. Return to the MDS home page.

  2. Click on the Version Management function.

  3. Hover over the Manage menu and choose the Manage Flags menu item.

  4. Ensure that the Store Model is selected and click on the plus icon.

  5. Enter the following values for the new flag:

    • NameCurrent

    • DescriptionThe current Store Version

    • Committed Versions OnlyFalse

  6. Click the save icon, which should result in the following single Flag being created:

Now that the flag has been created, we need to associate it with one of our versions. To do this, carry out the following steps:

  1. Hover over the Manage menu and choose the Manage Versions menu item...
