Some important IBM documents


IBM publishes a huge amount of documentation about both the CM product and the P8 platform. The documentation is aimed at a variety of different audiences—enterprise decision makers, administrators of various kinds, security officials, developers, and end users. The sheer amount of documentation can be a little disorienting. This section will introduce you to the documentation that is most interesting to someone installing a new CM site.

Most P8 documentation is readily available via IBM’s website. The gateway into this is the IBM FileNet P8 Version 4.5.1 information center at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/p8docs/v4r5m1. The infocenter (as it is commonly called) is one-stop shopping for all aspects of official P8 product documentation and should definitely have a spot on your bookmarks list.
