Hiding values in Zoom


Users with the Zoom ability can see the values of fields that are hidden on forms. This recipe will show you how to hide these fields from the Zoom window.

How to do it...

  1. Create a new table from Object Designer.

  2. Add the following fields to the table:

    Name

    Type

    Length

    Field No.

    Integer

     

    Field

    Text

    250

    Value

    Text

    Table

    Text

    Table No.

  3. Save and close the table.

  4. Create a new list form using the Form Generation Wizard.

  5. Add the Field and Value fields from the table.

  6. Set the following properties on the form:

    Editable

    No

    InsertAllowed

    No

    ModifyAllowed

    No

    DeleteAllowed

  7. Add a global function named LoadValues.

  8. The function should take in two parameters:

    RecordRef

  9. The RecRef parameter should be passed by reference.
