The basic things we need to monitor are whether Q Capture and Q Apply started correctly and are active, how far Q Capture is behind the DB2 log, and how far Q Apply is behind Q Capture.
To indicate that Q Capture has started successfully, we are looking for two messages in the Q Capture log:
ASN0572I:
This indicates that Q Capture has started successfully.ASN7010I:
This indicates that the Q subscription has been successfully activated.
