Adding components to the Dashboard


Once you've created the framework for your Dashboard the sky's the limit, at least when it comes to adding ACT! components. You can easily mix and match the various Dashboard Components to create the ultimate Dashboard.

Getting ready

You may want to take a trip over to Chapter 7, Working with the ACT! Dashboards of this book if you don't feel entirely comfortable with the various components included in ACT!. It's always a good idea to determine the components that will best work for you prior to heading for the Dashboard Designer.

How to do it...

  1. 1. Click the Dashboard icon on the navigation bar to access the Dashboard view.

  2. 2. Select the name of the new Dashboard from the Dashboard drop-down list and then click the Edit Current Dashboard button on the Dashboard tool bar. The Dashboard Designer opens.

  3. 3. Click the cell that will contain the new Component to select it.

  4. 4. Click Tools from the Dashboard Designer toolbar, choose Add Component, select Activities...
