Formatting a List Type report


Converting the training report into a list style report mainly involves rearranging the fields and labels. However field size (width) becomes very important so that line space is appropriately used.

Getting ready

If you are doing this task immediately after finishing the last task in Chapter 4, you should still have the Report Training template open for editing. If so, skip to step 3. Otherwise start at step 1.

How to do it...

  1. 1. From any screen in the ACT! program, click on Reports in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. 2. In the list of report templates, right-click on the Report Training template and select Edit Report.

  3. 3. Click the File menu and select Save As....

  4. 4. For a File Name, type Report Training 2.rep.

  5. 5. Click the Save button to save the report.

  6. 6. In the Report Header section, click on the Training Report title.

  7. 7. In the Properties panel, Text property, add the number 2 to the title.
