Changing the Dashboard display type


If variety is the spice of life then ACT! must be highly seasoned. ACT! comes with a variety of different Dashboard component display types, which means you can see the same information in a number of ways.

The following screenshot shows you the five basic component display types:

Not all display types can be used with all components. For example, the Closed Sales to Date component can be configured with any of the display types, whereas the Top 10 Opportunities component can only be viewed in List View. In addition, some components such as the My Schedule At-A-Glance use the Calendar View which can't be used with other components.

Getting ready

It seems kind of obvious that in order to change something you'll need to have first identified what exactly it is that needs changing. As this section works with Display Types we'll make the assumption that you've already identified a component that you would like to see displayed in a different fashion.
