The Control-M components that we installed during Chapter 3, Building the Control-M Infrastructure were the most essential ones to get us started, but they definitely aren't the whole lot. Recall what we have discussed during Chapter 2, Exploring Control-M there are two types of add-on components. One type provides general feature enhancements to Control-M, such as Batch Impact Manager, Forecast, and Batch Discovery. Others are control modules, which are to be installed on top of Control-M/Agents to expand Control-M's scheduling capability. Some of these add-on components are part of the base Control-M license, but the majority of them may require an additional cost to acquire.
These additional components may not be installed during the initial Control-M implementation, but are likely to be required down the track; the installations will become general administration tasks.
