PerformancePoint Services provides the ability to create a wide range of charts, KPIs, scorecards, and filters, and integrate them all together in a dashboard. In this recipe we learn how to use the Dashboard Designer tool to create and deploy an Analytic Chart to a SharePoint page.
SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Edition
You will need SharePoint 2010 Enterprise with PerformancePoint Services configured. You will require a SharePoint site created from the Business Intelligence Centre template.
You need a compatible data source such as a Microsoft Analysis Services OLAP cube. In this example, we use the AdventureWorks Analysis Services database for illustration from (http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/).
You will need a SharePoint page that you want to insert your chart into.
