Configuring barge for devices and users


The barge feature allows users to barge into an already active call, during which the user can be notified the call has been barged into, by way of a barge tone. Additionally, the conference barge feature can be used to place all parties into an active conference.

How to do it...

To configure a phone for barge, perform the following:

  1. Navigate to the device that will be configured for the barge feature (Device | Phone).

  2. Under Device Information section, select On from the Built In Bridge drop-down:

  3. Click on Save.

  4. Next, navigate to the End User page of the user that will use the barge feature (User Management | End User).

  5. Under the Device Information section, click Device Association.

  6. Search for the device previously configured in Step 2. Check the box to the left of the device as shown in the following screenshot:

  7. Click Save Selected/Changes.

  8. In the top-right hand area of the window, select Back to User from the Related Links drop-down:
