No silver, no gold, but… our game resources!


In Air Dogs 1942, we need the following resources:

  • A sprite sheet, which includes the plane images, various cloud images, and some colored circles for our smoke and explosion effects

  • The bitmap font description file and its corresponding bitmap

  • A background image for the ground the planes will fly over

  • Sounds for an explosion, for when you shoot, and for when a bullet hits a plane; also, an engine sound

Note

Hint: The sound format for Monkey and the GLFW platform is WAV. Use a tool such as Audacity to convert sounds, if you need to.

That is all for Air Dogs 1942. All these files are located inside the corresponding airdogs1942.data folder in the code that is bundled with this chapter.
