Discovering the animated objects


In the last chapter, we learned about the basic objects of Captivate. To make our eLearning content even more interesting and fun for the students, we will now introduce four more objects. These four objects are used to add animation and movement to our course.

Using the Text Animation

The first one is the Text Animation. A Text Animation is an object that can be created and managed entirely from within Captivate.

In the next exercise, we will create the front slide and the final slide of the project and add a Text Animation on both these slides.

  1. 1. Go to the encoderDemo_800.cptx file.

  2. 2. Use the Filmstrip to go to the first slide of the movie.

    The first slide of the encoderDemo_800.cptx file has been created in the previous chapter using the Insert | Image Slide feature of Captivate 6 (see Inserting an Image slide discussed in Chapter 3, Working with Standard Objects). There are currently no objects on this slide. Let's add a Text Animation onto it.
