We hope this chapter has introduced, or reinforced, some good practices in terms of optimizing your applications for performance. We have rarely seen an application that could not be efficiently coded to work well in a Domino environment. Much more often, the application has simply not been coded with performance in mind, and there are agents, views, forms, and even database properties that are inefficiently configured for your application to be as fast as it can be.
See Chapter 11, Troubleshooting Applications, for tips on how to determine whether your code is executing too slowly.
