In the last three chapters, you worked on a cell tower analysis tool that allowed us to introduce ArcGIS and ArcGIS add-ins. We scratched the surface of ArcObjects developments and we added few controls. This chapter, and the next two, will be dedicated to a more challenging example: the restaurants mapping application. We will approach this example with a slightly different approach in development using the extending ArcObjects method. In this chapter, we will work more closely with geodatabase structures.
In this chapter, we will discuss the following topics:
Extending ArcObjects
Adding the restaurants mapping toolbar
Adding the restaurants viewer button
Querying restaurants subtypes
Finding restaurants in a subtype
