Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2012 implements a data warehouse to allow consolidation and reporting capabilities for the System Center suite. This also includes incident and change management created through Service Manager, Operation Manager Data, and the Configuration Manager hardware and software inventory that is imported into Service Manager with the help of a connector. The data warehouse uses a SQL Server database and a Service Manager Configuration Management database to store information, and also analysis services to present the data in a component called cube. An analysis services cube enables business and technical people to analyze the information by providing results they need to make decisions.
