In the early versions of AirWatch, it was only possible to enroll devices with a single user account. This made it challenging with users needing to share devices as it forced administrators to use service accounts or it required an individual to enroll their username and password for everyone else to use. Using a single service account or requiring a user to sign in can create a potential security risk as well as additional administration overhead with shared service accounts.
