Inserting external animations into the project


In this exercise, you will import animations into the project. These animations are Flash and HTML5 animations that have been created in external applications such as Adobe Flash Professional and Adobe Edge Animate.

Importing Flash animations

The first type of animation you will focus on is the Flash Animation. The external application used to generate these animations is Adobe Flash Professional and the file imported into Captivate is the compiled .swf file. If you do not have Flash Professional installed, don't worry—all the necessary animations have already been created for you.

Tip

Adobe Flash Professional file extensions

When saving a file with Adobe Flash professional, the file extension used is .fla. The .fla file contains the objects, animations, filters, and so on needed for the Flash animation to work properly.
