Conclusion

With increased proliferation of devices being used by consumers, m-commerce is a reality. Consumers want seamless business using the variety of gadgets available today. Increased customer expectations and a variety of devices and platforms on which business is conducted has specific challenges for mobile testing. In this chapter, we discussed the challenges faced in testing mobile applications. These challenges can be addressed by testing early, keeping an eye on competitive products, and getting involved in testing them even while your product is under development. In testing mobile applications, focus has to be on end-to-end customer journey validation using multiple browsers and platforms. Automation tools in cross-browser/cross-platform testing have made these challenges easier to handle.
