Introduction

In this chapter, we will explore the functional aspects of Kotlin language. Kotlin has functional programming built in using lambdas. Java was lacking this modern language feature up until now, but it has included lambdas in Java 8. However, since most of the Android devices don't support Java 8, Android developers were not able to use this feature. In this chapter, we will go through them and will also learn about delegates. Delegates are a powerful language feature of Kotlin. So let's get started!
