Chapter 13. File Processing and Scalability - Playing with Cards

In this chapter, we will focus on implementing the card modal window. As with Trello's card, in TaskAgile, each card will have a unique URL that allows us to open it directly. Users will be able to change the card title, edit the description, upload attachments, and add comments to a card.

In this chapter, we will learn how to do the following:

  • Add Markdown format support to the card description
  • Handle file uploads on the client side and the server side
  • Create thumbnails with GraphicMagick
  • Scale file storage with AWS S3
  • Track activities asynchronously with AMQP
