Localization of Flex applications


Localization is the process of including localized assets and resource bundles for supporting multiple locales. A locale is a language in combination with a country code to identify the language used in that country; for example in en_US, en stands for English and US stands for United States. Similarly, en_GB or fr_FR stand for English used in Great Britain and French used in France, respectively. Some countries may also support multiple languages. In such cases, each language has its own code and can be represented by a separate locale. For example, zh_CN and zh_HK represent Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese used in China and Honk Kong. In this case, you need to include different resource bundles for each locale.
