Creating a sheet of buttons with ActionSheet


In an application, say, on an entity, multiple actions can be performed. For example, on an inbox item, a user can reply back to the sender, reply to all, delete the mail, and view the complete mail. Moreover, these actions may vary based on the entity in the context. To handle such scenarios, the Sencha Touch framework provides an ActionSheet component, which allows us to show a sheet of buttons which can help the user trigger different actions. This recipe shows us how to create ActionSheet and use it in an application.

Getting ready

Make sure that you have set up your development environment by following the recipes outlined in Chapter 1.

How to do it...

Carry out the following steps:

  1. Create and open a new file named ch06_02.js and copy the ch04/ch04_07.js content inside it.

  2. Add the following code at the beginning of the onReady function:
