Chapter 7. A View of the Future

This chapter is about the future enhancements that are expected in Dynamics NAV version 7. Besides Dynamics NAV, there's also SQL server that is about to release a major new version called SQL Server Denali.

The goal of this chapter is not to provide in-depth knowledge about these two releases, but to provide you with enough information so you will get an idea of what to expect.

For Dynamics NAV users, developers, and functional and technical consultants, a lot of changes were introduced in Dynamics NAV 2009. A new way of working in the Role Tailored client combined with many new technical possibilities like enhanced reporting, web services, .NET add-ins, .NET variables, and so on.
