In Microsoft Dynamics CRM, an entity represents a tangible or intangible object that your organization needs to manage as part of its business processes.

You can customize the entities from within a solution, but sometimes it is more convenient to customize an entity from within the entity grid screen or entity form. When we create custom entities, there are some options that cannot be modified later, so it's important to know what each entity option does when we create the custom entities.

After modifying an entity, the changes need to be published. You can publish the customizations for a single entity, or publish all customizations for all entities in all solutions.

You can change the icons associated with the system and custom entities. Two icons are required—a 16 px x 16 px icon and a 32 px x 32 px icon.
