A: A Request for Proposal (RFP) should be written with care and by someone with SharePoint knowledge. If that's not you, (which we suspect it's not since you're reading this book!) you may have to hire a SharePoint consultant for at least a few weeks to understand your business requirements and define the appropriate required SharePoint technology.
For the following reasons, we have our reservations about the RFP process, but it is a common practice in the IT industry, so do take care throughout.
