Creating a Data Definition


A BI Publisher Data Definition is the required link between the mechanism that generates XML data and the template into which we wish to merge the XML data. We can create a Data Definition in a few simple steps:

  • Log on to Oracle Applications

  • Select the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility

  • Select the Data Definitions menu option

How to do it...

To create a data definition, perform the following:

  1. Log in to Oracle with the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility.

  2. Click on the Data Definitions link as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. Navigate to the Data Definitions tab and click the Create Data Definition button as shown in the following screenshot:

  4. Enter data as shown in the following table:
