Summary

In this chapter we learnt how to build our first location-based app for Windows Phone 7.5 using the awesome Eventful.com API.

Specifically, we covered the Eventful.com API and using this, extended the Hello Location example by showing nearby events. We also looked at filtering events by categories and plotting events on Bing Maps. Lastly, we learnt to build the PacktEvents app using the Panorama control.

In the next chapter we will create another Windows Phone Application that uses AOL's Patch.com News API to build a location-aware news app. So keep reading.
