Creating a matrix report


Matrix report!!! This word suggests complexity. In reality, it's not that tough. In this recipe, I tried to keep it as simple as possible.

How to do it...

  1. Create a new report from Object Designer.

  2. Create global text constant with the following details:

    Name

    ConstValue

    ReportNameLbl

    Item by Location

  3. Add the following lines in the Report Designer:

    Data type

    Data source

    Name

    DataItem

    Location

    <Location>

    Column

    Code

    Location_Code

    Column

    Name

    Location_Name
