Time for action - creating an alternate entry point project


  1. 1. The first thing to do is add a new project, called HanselIcon, to the workspace. This follows the same steps that you had followed when creating a new project.

  2. 2. Right-click on the project to display the project's Properties dialog.

  3. 3. Select BlackBerry Project Properties from the list on the left-hand side of the dialog.

  4. 4. Select the Application tab from the tabs that are displayed on the right-hand side of the dialog.

  5. 5. Change the project type from the default CLDC Application to the Alternate CLDC Application Entry Point type. Under this drop list is another list of projects that this will be an alternate entry point for. If there is more than one project in the workspace, be sure to select the Hansel project here. If there is just one other project, this selection will be made automatically for you.

  6. 6. Assign a special value to the Arguments field, in this case use Icon.

  7. 7. Check the System module and the Auto-run on startup...
