Compiling from Flash Professional


With the iOS settings successfully configured, you can go ahead and compile your FLA into a native app.

Getting ready

If you haven't already configured the iOS settings for your app, then perform the following two recipes before proceeding:

  • AIR for iOS general settings

  • AIR for iOS deployment settings

How to do it...

Compiling your FLA into a native iOS app from Flash Professional can take several minutes depending on your computer's hardware specification. It is, therefore, advisable to publish your FLA using the AIR Debug Launcher (ADL) first. This will let you quickly find and correct any compiler errors before attempting to build a native iOS version.

Let us use ADL to quickly publish bubbles.fla.

  1. From Flash Professional's drop-down menu, select Control | Test Movie | in AIR Debug Launcher (Mobile).
