Chapter 3. Exchange Server Configuration for iOS Connectivity

In this chapter, we're going to walk through the full implementation of Exchange Server 2010 in our example organisation, Lisa Jane Designs, using the design and planning done in the previous chapter. Just to recap, we'll be configuring two Exchange Servers configured into a Database Availability Group with each server hosting the three typical Exchange Server roles, namely, Client Access, Hub Transport, and the Mailbox Role.

As part of the implementation we'll start with the basics—configuring the disk layout to match the specifications recommended by Microsoft's planning tool, and going through the step by step installation using the GUI where possible. There are a couple of times we dip into the command line and Exchange Management Shell, but only briefly. The process is organized as follows:
